About MWHO
Model World Health Organization works to enable undergraduate students to learn more about global health. We strive for solutions enforced by a comprehensive multidisciplinary background. Students of all perspectives regardless of experience join us in learning more about how we can improve global health security.
Every year we are dedicated to the mission of advancing global health. We accomplish this by supporting the work of future health leaders through our activities. We've partnered up with other organizations and university faculty to make sure you're given a quality experience.
To provide a better understanding of global health matters, each year we apply a new theme to our events. We have learned about chronic illness, refugee health, and drug policies. Each event further prepares students for the capstone conference that simulates the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. We hold our conference every April.

As a premedical student, hopeful to be an M.D. one day, Mason WHO provided an experience to me that I would not have found in a clinic, hospital, or research institution. One of the most moving things about the conference was the progression and chiseling of idea that took place. Completing research on my country, Brazil, being able to identify the problems it faced and then being able to write a thorough policy on how to fix the problem changed the way I think and view health care in an underserved population.
